STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (d) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 158 BY SHRI KAUSHALENDRA KUMAR TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 13.02.2019 REGARDING STOPPAGE OF TRAINS

(a) to (d): There is no such station/halt named “Rampur” on Daniyawan (DHWN) - Bihar Sharif (BEHS) section in Danapur division, at present.
However, a proposal for opening of a passenger halt at Rampur village was examined but not found justified due to anticipated meagre sale of tickets. Moreover, two adjacent halts i.e. Rukhai and Lachhubigha are presently operational, one at a distance of only 2.2 Kms from the proposed location at Rampur village on each end. Opening of another halt at such close proximity is not justified due to operational and commercial reasons.
