HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-


(a) whether the Government is aware that about 483 Hindu Citizens of Pakistan have entered India and are living in different parts of Delhi/NCR, like Majnu Ka Tila, Kanjhawala, Azadpur, Brijvasan and Faridabad and are being supported by some NGOs; and

(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government to rehabilitate such persons?

(a) to (b) As per information available, 483 Pakistani nationals belonging to Hindu community came to Delhi in the year 2013. Out of these 483, 99 had left for Pakistan, 01 expired and remaining 383 are still residing in Delhi on Long Term Visa (LTV). Government has extended various facilities to persons belonging to minority communities in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh living in India on LTV. These include engaging themselves in employment of purely private nature, admission of their children in educational institutions, purchase of dwelling unit & accomodation for carrying out self employment etc.
