INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING be pleased to state:-


(a) whether cases of cartelisation in the tendering process of Prasar Bharati have come to the notice of the Government during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(c) whether such cases of cartelisation in Doordarshan have also come to the notice of the Government during the said period;
(d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(e) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to keep the tendering process clean in Prasar Bharati as well as Doordarshan?

(a) to (e) Prasar Bharati has informed that no cases of cartelisation in the tendering process of Prasar Bharati have been noticed including All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Prasar Bharati including Doordarshan is adopting a fair and transparent system for tendering process by following the rules & procedures based on the Government guidelines including General Financial Rules (GFR) and Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) guidelines.
