Supply of Sub-standard Material in Ordnance Factory

DEFENCE be pleased to state:-


(a) whether sub-standard material at inflated costs running into crores of rupees is reported to have been supplied to the Ordnance Factory, Chanda, Maharashtra allegedly through some touts in league with some registered suppliers;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether complaints have been received by the Government in this regard; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon?

(a) No, Madam.

(b) Does not arise.

(c) & (d): A complaint regarding anomaly in inspection and acceptance of Ammunition Container 39 A/L regarding Supply Order dated 19.12.2011 was investigated by Director / Vig (W/C), Ordnance Factory Ambajhari, Nagpur based on CVC order dated 22.01.2015 and CVO’s letter dated 17.02.2015. Further action is being taken to obtain advice of CVC.
