RESERVATION FOR DDA FLATS

URBAN DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:-


ate:

(a) the number of flats LIG, MIG and HIG etc. constructed and allotted by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) so far, type and location-wise;

(b) the percentage of flats reserved for Scheduled Castes(SCs) and Scheduled Tribes(STs) in the DDA housing Schemes;

(c) the number of flats allotted to SCs and STs so far, type, category, and location-wise;

(d) the details of flats allotted to SCs and STs and later cancelled, type, category, and location-wise;

(e) the details of flats in possession of DDA at present, type, category, and location-wise; and

(f) whether DDA proposes to sell the flats lying vacant since long and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?


ANSWER

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT (SHRI BABUL SUPRIYO)

(a) : Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that it has constructed and allotted a total of 4,20,389 flats (64,463 SFS, 37 HIG, 84,701 MIG, 1,40,653 LIG, 1,01,993 Janta, 28,468 EWS and 74 Expandable) under all categories in different locations of Delhi till 25.11.2014.

(b) : DDA has informed that it reserves 15% flats for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and 7.5% flats for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in its housing schemes.

(c) : DDA has informed that during the period from the year 1989 to 2000, 21,828 flats under different categories were allotted to SCs and STs. Further, during the period from 2001 to 2014, 17,068 flats were allotted to SCs and 4,546 flats to STs. Apart from these, DDA allotted 17,412 flats to SCs and 295 flats to STs under Ambedkar Awas Yojana-1989, exclusively floated for SCs and STs.

(d) : DDA has informed that 6,134 flats allotted to SCs and STs since 2000 under various categories and locations were later cancelled.

(e) : DDA has informed that presently, 25,034 flats are lying in possession, whose details are annexed.

(f) : DDA has informed that at present, there is no such proposal. However, these surrendered/ cancelled flats are included in the scheme floated for registration/allotment from time to time.
